Tania Lopez Winkler réagit à l’installation de Marcos Novak par infiltration et altération, occupant les interstices de son œuvre. Elle insère ses photographies de paysages urbains dans les pochettes transparentes recouvrant la vitrine et propose une nouvelle image pour l’écran de television. Ce faisant, elle s’inspire des jeux de mots de Marcos Novak sur l’air (Air de Paris) et l’eau (Eau du Champ), le titre de son exposition était : Eau (Awe du Champ) 9/11, et propose de compléter la liste en évoquant la terre et le feu.

Ses photographies font directement référence à la terre, elle sont prises au raz du sol, la ligne d’horizon coupant l’image en son milieu. Le format élargi accentue l’effet de perspective raccourcie. Ces photographies sont des détails de scènes urbaines à New York, Londres ou Brasilia… Le feu apparait ensuite de façon plus métaphorique, issu de la violence et de la peur. Tania Lopez Winkler part de l’idée de TERR(O)ART, sémantiquement proche de la terre. « En tant que “terr(o)artiste”, j’altèrent le travail de Marcos en montrant des photographies où la violence est sous-jacente… Je montre des lieux où elle est prétenduement absente. »

 

Tania Lopez Winkler reacts to Marcos Novak’s installation with infiltration and alteration strategies, occupying the chinks of his work. She puts her photographs of urban landscapes into the transparent pockets covering the shop window and proposes a new image on the television’s screen. In doing so, she gets inspiration from Marcos Novak’s play on words with air (Air de Paris) and water (Eau du Champ), the title of his installation was: Eau (Awe du Champ) 9/11, and she offers to complement the list with the evocation of earth and fire.

Her photographs are directly linked to the earth, they are shot close from the ground, the skyline cutting the image in the middle. The horizontal format strengthens the effect of short perspective. The images are showing details of urban scenes in New York, London or Brasilia… The fire appears in a more metaphorical way, stemming from violence and fear. Tania Lopez Winkler develops her idea of TERR(O)ART, the semantic of the word recalling « terra », the soil and ground in latin. « My intention is to become a « terr(o)artist », by certain « acts » that alter Marco’s work, at the time that the images displayed contain a sort of violence in countries and places that at first sight are against terror (or supposed to be free of terror). »
