Shimabuku

Born in 1969 in Kobe, Japan. Lives and works in Okinawa.

Shimabuku pays close attention to the facts of everyday life: he looks for the difference between identical products, the commonalities between different objects. In a spirit reminiscent of Robert Filliou's bricolages ("doing something else..."), Shimabuku raises questions of timeless folk wisdom and even Zen philosophy.
