After training in textiles and jewelry, Bruno Pélassy began his artistic practice in the early 90s, a period marked by the trauma of the AIDS virus. Affected early on by this scourge, he explored and deployed an ambivalent poetics of life and death through the use of metaphors in fragile, flamboyant works that sensitively and formally convey a personal experience.
