Apollo was madly in love with DaphnŽ. But nymphs or their children could die if loved by a god... So DaphnŽ called her mother for help. In order to save her daughter, the Goddess of Earth changed her into a tree with human odour .

The tree is regularly watered with sweat. Roméo is in charge for that; during the exhibition, he is regularly going to the sauna and collects his sweat for watering the tree.
